Providing consumers with a variety of tasty and quality products is the core mission of the Food and Drink Industry. The European Food Policy should, therefore, enable the industry to fulfil its mission and to satisfy the diverse and changing needs of consumers.
By using sophisticated systems for both safety and risk auto-control, the industry supplies the market with safe products and takes full responsibility for its own part of the food chain. The industry is also co-operating with other stakeholders to ensure safety throughout the whole chain.
