More than 200 people, including over 70 MEPs and a large number of representatives from the food and drink industry, participated in the European Parliament reception hosted by the CIAA, on October 8. This year the focus of the event was the Common Agricultural Policy. The food and drink industry processes over 70% of EU agricultural production and is therefore directly concerned by the reform of the CAP and is actively taking part in the policy debate following the publication of the Commission communication on the Mid-term review of Agenda 2000.
