CIAA’s Liaison Committee appoints new president
The European Committee of the large F&D companies (Liaison Committee) of the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the EU (CIAA) today announced the appointment of Mr. Tim Mobsby, Area President of Kellogg Europe, as its new President. He is taking over from Mr. Luis Cantarell (Nestlé) who led the Liaison Committee for over two years.
The Liaison Committee comprises the CEOs of 20 major food and drink companies, including ADM, Bunge, Cadbury, Campbell, Cargill, Coca-Cola, Ferrero, General Mills, Groupe Danone, Heineken, Heinz, Kellogg, Kraft Foods, Mars, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Südzucker, Tate & Lyle and Unilever.
“I welcome the appointment of Tim Mobsby, and am confident that his knowledge and understanding of our industry, as well as his strategic vision, will help keep CIAA on a continued strong course,” stated Mella Frewen, CIAA’s Director General.
Tim Mobsby is British, and has an Economics & Business Studies background from Sheffield University. He began his career with HJ Heinz, spending 6 years in the Marketing Group. He joined Kellogg in 1982 and was successively appointed in UK, US, and France. Since 2000 he has been President Kellogg Europe and Senior Vice-President of the Kellogg Company.
