The theme for this year’s Congress is “The Food and Drink Industry in the 21st Century – Generating Growth, Serving Consumers, Respecting the Environment”. Once again, we will tackle issues that are ‘top-of-mind’ for the industry as well as day-to-day challenges we all face as consumers. As the largest manufacturing sector in Europe, with an annual turnover of Euro 870 billion in 2006, and providing direct employment to over 4 million people, the EU food and drink industry is an important pillar of the European economy.

In the parallel sessions – Generating Growth, Serving Consumers and Respecting the Environment, attendees will be able to access the latest available information on these important topics and engage in interactive debates with our high-level speakers from the European Institutions, consumer organisations, science, press and industry.

The Congress will be held at Autoworld Brussels on 27-28 November 2008.
