Memorandum of the EU food and drink industry to the UK Presidency of the EU

This Memorandum brings forward CIAA priorities and positions on major issues at the UK’s EU Presidency Agenda that have direct impact on the development and competitiveness of the EU food and drink industry.

Among many others, the UK Presidency has defined the following priorities: trade, CAP, sustainable development, innovation and technology, food safety and related legislation, nutrition and obesity as well as environment. As always, CIAA is willing to take an active and constructive role in the general debate on food so that it contributes to the success of the British Presidency.
